Terms and conditions of use
The Responsible Land-Based Investment Navigator was established by IIED and the Land Portal Foundation to allow private sector and/or other interested parties to navigate the many tools and guidelines that have been developed to guide the private sector through a land investment process. Neither IIED or the Land Portal Foundation has developed the materials shared on this platform, therefore neither party can guarantee the veracity of the information in these materials. IIED has made a selection of relevant materials developed by others and the Land Portal Foundation has provided for a technical infrastructure to host these materials, and ensure completeness of metadata of these materials.
We may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law and the website. You should review these terms regularly for any changes.

The views and opinions expressed herein are those of the individual authors of the materials shared on the Responsible Land-Based Investment Navigator, and can in no way be taken to reflect the official opinion or endorsement of the Land Portal Foundation, IIED or any of its partners and donors. Every land-based investment is different; local contexts and particular parties involved change from place to place. Therefore, no land-based investments is the same. Please be advised that the information on the Responsible Land-Based Investment Navigator is provided freely, and that no kind of agreement or contract is created between you and the owners of this site, the owners of the servers upon which it is housed, the individual contributors of the Responsible Land-Based Investment Navigator, any project administrators, sysops or anyone else who is in any way connected with this project. You are being granted a limited license to the material made available on this site; it does not create or imply any contractual or extra contractual liability on the part of the Land Portal Foundation, IIED, their partner organizations, or any of their agents, members, organizers or other users.
There is no agreement or understanding between you and the Responsible Land-Based Investment Navigator, or the organizations behind it, regarding your use of information obtained at this website. Furthermore, IIED or the Land Portal Foundation may add, change, improve, or update the information of the website without notice and may in its sole discretion alter, limit or discontinue part of this site or deny at its sole discretion any user access to this site or any portion thereof.

The Land Portal Foundation or any of its partner organizations make no promises or commitments about the site, the platform or its contents, or its accuracy or suitability, and the site, platform and its contents are provided on an "as is" basis and without warranties or representations of any kind, either expressed or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, statutory, express or implied, including implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

Copyright Protection

Use of information on Responsible Land-Based Investments Navigator
The materials hosted on the Responsible Land-Based Investments Navigator are not owned or created by IIED and/or the Land Portal Foundation. The license for each material, where available, is indicated in the metadata of the license. We encourage all users of the Responsible Land-Based Investments Navigator to review these licenses carefully and to respect them.
All other text and information on this website is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0-license. This means that you are free to:

Additional Terms
The laws of the Netherlands apply to these Terms and Conditions. Rechtbank Noord-Nederland will have jurisdiction over any dispute concerning these Terms and Conditions. If any part of the Terms and Conditions is invalid or unenforceable, it will be struck out and the remaining terms will remain in force. If we do not act in relation to a breach by you of the Terms and Conditions, this does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches.
